Jeff Sokoloff, MA


Vice President of Operations

Jeff joined the Institute for Spirituality and Health in February 2014. As the Vice President of Operations, Jeff oversees accounting and financial management, the use of the Institute’s office space, equipment and supply inventory, and human resources functions. He works closely with the Institute’s board members, leaders, and staff to support the continued growth and contributions of the organization. In addition, Jeff plays a key role in planning and organizing the annual Conference on Medicine and Religion.

Jeff has extensive experience in planning and directing numerous annual campaigns, conducting face-to-face fundraising solicitations, organizing and hosting fundraising events, writing grant proposals, engaging in community outreach, and creating and implementing leadership development programs. 

Before joining the Institute, Jeff served in fundraising and leadership positions for the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Houston, the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County, the Anti-Defamation League/Southwest Region, The Associated: Jewish Community Federation, The Jewish Council of Howard County, the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, and the American Heart Association/Houston Council. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Arts degree in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University.
