FOSTERING SPIRITUAL CONNECTION AMIDST LIFE’S GREATEST TRANSITIONS
The connection between spirituality and health is often the most present in times of illness, suffering, and at the end of life. To help make sense of these complex dynamics, the Institute provides a range of services, support groups, and programs that focus on bringing spiritual considerations to the forefront, supporting professionals and patients. The anchor program of this center is the Interfaith Spiritual Care Coalition, which empowers lay volunteers to presence with those in care homes or facilities that would otherwise be considered spiritual deserts. Additional programs in this center include bereavement support groups, the TMC Chapter of the International Association of Near-Death Studies, and others.
