The ongoing pandemic. The killing of George Floyd and ongoing racial injustice. A divisive election and an invasion of the Capitol. The Texas Winter Storm. The past year has brought stress upon stress, challenge after challenge. Chronic stress and trauma take a toll on our physical and mental health, and these stressors all disproportionately affect communities of color. The fastest way to calm stress and restore balance to the body and mind is through the breath. We need to breathe, together.
Join us for a restorative Saturday morning experience to reclaim the power of your breath.

Eboni Scott, LPC HS-BCP CHW
Clinical Therapist, Avenue 360 Health & Wellness
on THE BRIDGE TO WELLNESS
As a community health worker, human service board certified practitioner, and licensed professional counselor working in social services since 2008, bridging community assets has been my passion. As a product of Jack Yates High School and Alabama State University, I've witnessed firsthand the power of community and faith based partnerships. My career focus has been to create relationships that build capacity of individuals and its communities through advocacy, education, and service coordination. I organized and facilitated a faith based community partnership through Harmony House Homeless Support Services and Houston's First Presbyterian Church, which through trauma informed care helped women survive human trafficking, exit homelessness, overcome substance use, and acquire self sufficiency by working in the community to successfully prevent recidivism. This year I also participated in a panel discussion at Greater Faith Baptist Church to advocate for mental health awareness during reentry educating the community and church on how to support individuals affected by mental health issues daily. I continue to strive for holistic wellness sustainable within communities. I currently work to empower individuals and families at Avenue 360 Health and Wellness as a Clinical Therapist. The Better Me, Better We Initiative is the essence of my career and life passion, as the goal of this initiative is bridging assets and the people to achieve viable relationships for healthy communities.
