Packed Audience hears Prof. Schroeder on “The Unity of Science and Genesis” at ISH

By John Graham

Last Wednesday, Feb 29, a delighted audience filled the lecture room at ISH to hear MIT-trained physicist Gerald Schroder, PhD, share on “The Unity of Science and Genesis.”   Schoeder had come to the U.S. from Jerusalem to receive the prestigious Trotter Award at Texas A&MUniversity.  The award is given annually to a person who has spoken to the issue of Science and Religion.  Past recipients have been included two Nobel Prize winners, including Francis Collins, Director of the Genome Project and now head of N.I.H.  Professor Schroeder’s talk featured the events which took place after the Big Bang to show how the 14 Billion year history of the Universe is compatible with six twenty-four hour days of creation as found in the book of Genesis in the Bible.  The information he discussed can be found in his bookThe Science of God: the Convergence of Scientific and Biblical Wisdom.
