OUR SPEAKER:
Pegi Robinson is a survivor to her very core. She is a retired Counselor, Social Worker/Investigator, NDE experiencer and author.
Her childhood was harsh and unfair too many times for her to count. Her early life was a constant blur of people hurting people while she struggled to understand why terrible things happened. Pegi’s stubborn determination to keep going was accompanied by her strong desire and hope to have her own family some day, that she would fill with love in a healthy home. In ways she would only understand later in life, her strength was aided by something mysterious buried deep within her.
In 2016, in an effort to free herself from a very unhappy past, she set out to write it all down to help her process it and put it in its proper place. She wrote endlessly every day for months as she purged herself from the scars of life. The end product was a memoir entitled “The Will of a Wildflower” that helped her regain her self worth and dignity.
She calls herself the “Accidental Author” since she intended to only set the record straight and put her writing away for her grandchildren to read after she was gone. Instead, it has been used in social work departments in training others to understand domestic violence settings, child abuse and corruption within systems whose mission is to help abused children, but who often fail miserably.
Writing her autobiography gave Pegi the strength to quiet her inner turmoils by finally integrating her two NDEs fully along with their gifts, their beauty and their awe. Her spiritual journey is uplifting and inspiring for those who are seeking to rekindle hope that God is always there for each of us, no matter the circumstances.
Pegi has been featured on Dr. OZ, NDE Radio, Artist First Radio, various news outlets and has been a speaker at the IANDS National Conference, IANDS groups and many independent NDE podcasts. She hosts her own YouTube Channel called NDE TV and has hosted over 200 guests who have shared their experiences.
Houston IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) at the Texas Medical Center serves as a safe space to support those who have had a near-death experience as they integrate their experience into their lives. Houston IANDS also serves to inform the public about NDEs and the lessons and messages that experiencers bring back, and to educate the medical community to recognize and appropriately treat people who have had an NDE.
