The Institute for Spirituality and Health and Houston IANDS welcomes author John Burke as October’s distinguished speaker. On October 15, the esteemed New York Times best-selling author of "Imagine Heaven" and "Imagine the God of Heaven” will delve into the ten points of evidence that transformed his agnostic and skeptical engineering perspective, leading him to believe that Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) validate the existence of an afterlife overseen by a loving God of all nations.
This understanding of the afterlife's potential impact on patients who have been revived from clinical death could greatly benefit the medical profession's approach to their care.

John Burke is the New York Times bestselling author of Imagine Heaven and Imagine the God of Heaven, who has researched over 1000 cases of near-death experiences and how they correlate with the Bible. He has appeared in multiple documentaries and movies, including the recent award-winning box office movie “After Death.” John is a popular guest on hundreds of podcasts and news outlets, including CBN, Fox, Glenn Beck, Megyn Kelly, and the ex-navy Seal’s Shawn Ryan Show.
As a pastor and international speaker, John has addressed over 100,000 people in 30 countries on topics of leadership, spiritual growth, and the exhilarating life to come. Houston IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) at the Texas Medical Center serves as a safe space to support those who have had a near-death experience as they integrate their experience into their lives. Houston IANDS also serves to inform the public about NDEs and the lessons and messages that experiencers bring back and to educate the medical community to recognize and appropriately treat people who have had an NDE.
