Mind-Body Skills for Wellness: Coping with COVID19

Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00pm CDT| July 7 - August 11

In this 6-week virtual training, you'll learn and practice a variety of mind-body techniques for relaxation and stress reduction. These evidence-based tools have been shown to improve emotional health and resiliency, decrease pain, improve sleep and lower levels of stress and anxiety (to name a few!). 

We'll cover simple self-care practices including: Meditation, Guided Imagery, Breath Work, Movement, Self expression.

We will meet virtually for 6-consecutive Tuesdays, beginning July 7th  (7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11).
*Please try to attend all groups as we will be building from week-to-week*

Traditionally, this group is offered for $275, but during this time of great economic and financial uncertainty, we want to make this experience available to all those who need it. This opportunity is 100% free but donations will be accepted.

Shannon McLain Sims, PhD

Group Facilitator:
Shannon McLain Sims holds a PhD and Master's in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University’s College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences. She is a a graduate professor in Saybrook's Mind-Body Medicine program and is a practicing integrative wellness coach. Additionally, Dr. McLain Sims has completed the professional training program through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, which has prepared her to work with a myriad of powerful and effective evidence-based healing therapies. In her own research, she has worked extensively with training medical students in mind-body skills and stress management.
