The Institute for Spirituality and Health to Host Author Spotlight and Intensive Workshop with Lora DeVore on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30

The Institute for Spirituality and Health at the Texas Medical Center (the Institute) is offering a two-day event sharing the incredible survival story of Lora DeVore, writer and catalyst for transformational change for children and adults. Lora will showcase her book, Darkness Was My Candle, An Odyssey of Survival and Grace, and speak on her experience in the field of psychology, transpersonal development, and spiritual psychology on Thursday, Sept. 29, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Those who join the Thursday evening dinner, author conversation, and book-signing will receive a discount to attend the mind body workshop that will be held Friday, Sept. 30 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The workshop offers continuing education credits for clinicians and others who work with the traumatized community.
“Lora Devore’s astounding journey of hardship and profound healing reflects our beliefs in the mind-body connection and the relationship between spirituality and health. We are thrilled to host Lora and learn from her experiences,” said Leah Adams, vice president of engagement at the Institute.

What’s Love Got to Do With It: A Mind-Body Workshop with Lora DeVore
Friday, Sept 30, The Institute will host an interactive, experiential mind-body workshop with Lora DeVore Matz.
